Where else is it being used?
In addition to ongoing research studies at the University of Arizona in 2018 and 2019, Nimbus is scheduled for user trials at multiple healthcare facilities in 2019.
What is the cost?
Cost depends upon usage requirements. Nevoa has options for customers who would like to procure the equipment outright, or a unique cost-per-use model.
Is the disinfectant liquid safe for other room furnishings and equipment?
Yes; far less corrosive than standard hospital cleaning products today (bleach, hydrogen peroxide). Microburst is formulated to achieve Log 6 disinfection at the lowest concentration possible.
How does the disinfectant get in every area of the room/bathroom?
Nimbus is designed to effectively disperse the Microsburst disinfectant solution in all areas of the room. It does this by atomizing the HOCl liquid into a small-micron cloud and distributing it evenly. Our patented Nimbus system has integrated distribution fans, which were perfected using advanced computer modeling (CFD) and verified by efficacy testing.
What pathogens have you proven you kill?
In EPA-required laboratory testing, Nevoa’s Nimbus + Microburst™ system has been proven to kill 99.9999% of Salmonella enterica (S.enterica), Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus), and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa). In addition, third-party independant efficacy testing has demonstrated disinfection of common HAI sources including MRSA, VRE, E.coli, C.diff spores, and viruses.
Can we evaluate the Nimbus™ system in a pilot trial?
Yes. Nevoa is happy to demonstrate the Nimbus™ system and support limited user evaluations. Depending upon customer requirements, Nevoa may fund a portion of this activity.
How does your disinfection system compare to other technologies: UV/HPV?
Like Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor (HPV) systems, the Nimbus + Microburst system is EPA verified - making the effectiveness in killing pathogens comparable. Unlike HPV, Nimbus + Microburst allow Rapid Room Disinfection & Dehumidification™, which is intended to allow for disinfection of every room, every time a patient is discharged. This allows hospitals to ensure they have the most pathogen free facilities possible. There is no direct efficacy comparison for UV light systems, due to line of sight limitations.
What safety precautions are necessary?
EPA regulations require all fogged disinfectants to be completely contained in the room. The Nimbus™ system includes the training materials and supplies needed to seal the room prior to fogging. The Nimbus™ operating system is controlled via remote tablet computer from outside the room. Additionally, Nimbus has visual (LED) indicators to ensure maximum safety. Microburst may be safely disposed of in municipal sewer systems.
What data collection do you provide?
Nimbus™ automatically logs all system operating parameters, including: date, time, room, user, proper function, process status. Custom data collection is available, including integration with existing hospital information systems.
